Healthy gums form the foundation for a strong smile. Many adults have some level of periodontal disease, or gum disease, so we place importance on thoroughly examining soft tissues and resolving problems quickly. If we discover evidence of gum disease, we may recommend non-surgical therapy, like scaling and root planing. Left untreated, periodontal disease can cause tooth loss and serious overall health problems.
